Technical Program Manager — Infrastructure & Compliance

Full-time

Engineering · Remote (US time zones) · Posted 2026-05-04

Our engineering team is growing and the coordination complexity is growing with it. We need a TPM who can keep multi-team initiatives on track without introducing process overhead that slows engineers down. You'll own the infrastructure roadmap, compliance audit cycles, and quarterly planning cadence.

Responsibilities

  • Drive cross-team programs — SQL Server upgrade cycles, AD forest functional level raises, SOC 2 audit preparation, new data center turn-ups
  • Manage timelines, dependencies, and risk registers for infrastructure and compliance programs across engineering, IT, and security teams
  • Run effective meetings: weekly program syncs, quarterly planning, architecture review boards, incident postmortems
  • Own the SOC 2 and ISO 27001 audit cycle: evidence collection coordination, control owner assignment, auditor liaison, finding remediation tracking
  • Maintain the program dashboard in Azure DevOps — epics, features, delivery plans, velocity tracking
  • Identify and remove bottlenecks before they become blockers — you know when to escalate and when to clear the path yourself

Requirements

  • 5+ years of technical program management experience in enterprise infrastructure environments
  • Background in systems administration or infrastructure engineering — you understand AD forests, SQL Server AGs, and VLANs
  • Experience managing compliance programs (SOC 2, ISO 27001, PCI DSS) — evidence collection, audit cycles, control frameworks
  • Strong project management skills — you live in the details but communicate at altitude
  • Proficiency with Azure DevOps or Jira for program tracking and reporting
  • Excellent written communication — clarity is non-negotiable in a remote, async-first team

Nice to Have

  • PMP, CSM, or equivalent certification
  • Experience at a security or infrastructure company
  • Familiarity with Microsoft compliance frameworks: SSPA, DPR, EU Data Boundary
  • Experience managing programs across multiple time zones
